Redberry Opens Jersey Mike’s Subs Location in Owen Sound

100 Percent of Sales on Opening Day Donated to Owen Sound Hunger and Relief Effort

OWEN SOUND, Ont., March 19, 2025 – Redberry Restaurants (“Redberry”) will open the latest Ontario Jersey Mike’s Subs at 1660 20th Ave. E., in Owen Sound on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. This opening falls on a special day: Jersey Mike’s 15^th Annual Day of Giving, when all locations will give 100 percent of sales (not just profit) to local charities.

To coincide with Day of Giving, Redberry will donate all proceeds from Wednesday’s opening day to Owen Sound Hunger and Relief Effort (OSHaRE).

In addition, Redberry will hold a grand opening fundraiser from Wednesday, March 26 to Sunday, March 30 to support OSHaRE. Customers who receive a special fundraising coupon distributed through a grassroots effort prior to the opening can make a minimum $3 contribution to OSHaRE in exchange for a regular sub. Customers must have a coupon to be eligible.

Customers without a coupon will have the opportunity to download the Jersey Mike’s app and earn a free regular sub after their first in-app sub purchase and will also be able to support OSHaRE via a donation box near the register.

Making a Difference

Jersey Mike’s believes that making a sub sandwich and making a difference can be one and the same. Since the beginning of 2024, in Canada, Jersey Mike’s has raised nearly $31,000 for local organizations.

Jersey Mike’s biggest fundraiser, “Month of Giving,” takes place each year in March. This year, four local charities are joining forces with nine Jersey Mike’s locations in Ontario to support local charities:

• Make-A-Wish® Canada (six locations: Markham, North York, Pickering, Toronto’s Union Station, Kitchener, and London)
• Child Hunger Brantford (Brantford location)
• Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington – Keep Kids Fed (Guelph location)
• Owen Sound Hunger and Relief Effort (OSHaRE) (Owen Sound location)

Last year, in Canada, two Jersey Mike’s locations in Kitchener and London raised $12,000 for Make-A-Wish Canada during the annual fundraiser. In 2025, seven additional restaurants are participating, and Jersey Mike’s Canada expects to exceed last year's fundraising totals to help more local charities that are striving to fulfill their missions and make a difference in Canadian communities.

Fresh Sliced/Fresh Grilled

Jersey Mike’s premium meats and cheeses are sliced on the spot and piled high on the in-store baked bread. Jersey Mike’s fans crave their subs made Mike’s Way® with the freshest vegetables – onions, lettuce and tomatoes – along with an exquisite zing of “the juice,” red wine vinegar and an olive oil blend, topped off with our signature spices. Authentic cheesesteaks are also grilled fresh to order.
